What is Government Recognized Training?

Government recognised training allows you to gain nationally recognised qualifications for the training that you complete. The training is competency based which means that you have to show that you have the skills and knowledge that meets the unit requirements.

What qualification does Jena Dyco offer?

Jena Dyco currently offers:

Certificate II in Asset Maintenance - Carpet Cleaning

This qualification includes the following units:

Assessment tasks include the IICRC exam, group work, discussions, practical tasks and quizzes.

Certificate III in Asset Maintenance - Carpet Cleaning

This qualification includes the following units:

Compulsory Units:

Elective Units: (You need to select 4 of the following units)

Assessment tasks include the IICRC exam, group work, discussions, practical tasks and quizzes.

Certificate IV in Asset Maintenance - Cleaning Management

This qualification is aimed specifically at the carpet cleaning and restoration industries

Aimed at business owners managers and supervisors

(Government funding may be available to employees enrolled in this qualification)

Running in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in 2009. Will run in other areas if there is sufficient interest.

Structured in 3 training blocks (2 days each), as well as assessment tasks that are completed out of class (the assessment tasks relate to your workplace and are designed to help you in your business)

Block 1

Sales and Marketing Developing a company profile Goal Setting Customer service

Block 2

Financial Management Writing Quotations, Tenders, Proposals Staffing Selling your business to customers

Block 3

Using OH&S as a marketing tool Presentations of Sales and Marketing Plans Forward planning for your business

Individuals can enroll in the individual training blocks without enrolling in the qualification (Please note that this method does not lead to the qualification)

To gain the Certificate IV in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Management) qualification you must attend all three Training Blocks as well as the associated assessments which will need to be completed outside class time.

NOTE - All students completing the Certificate IV in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Management) must have attended the Carpet Cleaning Course and the Health and Safety Course.

Can my previous courses count towards my Government Qualification?

You are able to apply to have the courses you have already completed be recognised towards your Government Qualification through the RPL Process.
